I Do Weddings by Elizabeth
Elizabeth Shama
Marriage Commissioner for Prince Edward Island
Every couple has a different vision for their wedding ceremony. Whether you want a ceremony created especially for you, something simple and meaningful, or a friend or family member to lead your ceremony, I offer several options to suit your needs.
$500
A ceremony created just for you.
Your ceremony should reflect you as a couple. This package gives us the time and flexibility to create a ceremony that tells your story, celebrates your relationship, and includes the people, memories and traditions that are meaningful to you.
We’ll begin with an in-person meeting where I’ll get to know you as a couple, hear your story, and learn about the people, memories, traditions and values that are meaningful to you. We’ll talk about how you want your ceremony to feel and what you would like to include.
I’ll then put the time and care into creating a ceremony that reflects who you are and what you want to say to each other. This may include personal stories, readings, family or cultural traditions, unity elements, personal vows and other meaningful touches.
Once your ceremony is drafted, we’ll have the opportunity to fine-tune it together. Depending on what works best for you, this can be done through another meeting, by email, or a combination of both.
I’ll also help you plan the flow of your ceremony and make sure everyone knows where they need to be and what to expect.
Your Personalized Wedding includes:
- In-person getting-to-know-you meeting
- A fully personalized ceremony created specifically for you
- Consultation and revisions as needed
- Assistance with ceremony flow and choreography
- Completion and hand delivery of your marriage paperwork to Vital Statistics
Rehearsal: Included
Travel: Additional travel fees may apply.

On your wedding day, I’ll attend and perform the required legal declarations and marriage requirements. I’ll also complete and hand deliver your marriage paperwork to Vital Statistics following the wedding.
This option is ideal for couples who:
- Have a friend or family member they would like to lead their ceremony
- Want to create their own ceremony
